He was named by police as Richard Ball.

Police have ruled out foul play concluding there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

But today police, on behalf of Sefton Coroner’s Office, urged the public to help trace Mr Ball's family with efforts so far proving unsuccessful.

A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "Please share and help Sefton Coroner’s Office trace the next of kin for a Netherton man who recently passed away.

"Richard Ball sadly died earlier this month at his home in Westminster Avenue. Mr Ball was 63. There are no suspicious circumstances."

Anyone who can help should contact Andrea Walton on 0151 777 7263 or email Andrea.Walton@sefton.gov.uk.
