A man was found dead after police were called to a 'concern for welfare' report in Tameside.
Officers were called to the scene in the Ridge Hill area of Stalybridge yesterday afternoon (Thursday). Pictures showed a footpath taped off from Springs Lane to an area of open field.
Police said the body of a man aged in his 70s was sadly found. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were called to a concern for welfare report on Thursday afternoon. Sadly, a man believed to be in aged in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances."
