A man is in critical condition in hospital after being found injured in the Pollokshields area in broad daylight.
The 33-year-old was found on Thursday (June 9) at 6pm in St Andrew's Drive, near to its junction with Shields Road in Glasgow's south side.
He was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment, where he remains, as police launch an investigation.
Detective Sergeant Jason Nicol, of Cathcart Police Office, said: "It is absolutely vital that we find out how the man came about his injuries and we are working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident.

"I am appealing to anyone who was on the area yesterday evening and witnessed what happened to this man to please get in touch.
"I would also urge any motorists with dash-cams who were travelling in the area at around that time to check their footage in case they have managed to capture anything of significance."
