A man found collapsed in a Dovecot street sparked a huge emergency response this afternoon.
Around seven police cars, a number of ambulances and a rapid response vehicle was called to the scene on Ashover Avenue, at around 1pm.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said the man is understood to have suffered a medical episode and was taken to hospital.
His condition is not currently known.
The road was cordoned off while the emergency services tended to the man.
