This picture shows a haul of snap bags containing suspected Spice following a search in Manchester city centre .
Officers made the discovery after carrying out stop-and-searches on Spear Street, in the Northern Quarter , at 6.15pm last night.
A man was searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act and police initially found 51 snap bags.
Police believe the bags contain Spice and further tests on the substance will take place.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs.
He has since been released under investigation.
The Greater Manchester Police City Centre team shared a photograph of the snap bags on Twitter.
A message with the picture said: "Great result last night. Positive stop search by officers on Spear St led to the recovery of 51 snap bags of what is believed to be Spice."
