Man followed woman around supermarket and stole her purse 'when her back was turned'

A woman's purse was stolen from her handbag while she shopped in a Bolton supermarket.

The victim was in Aldi on Breightmet Fold Lane, Bolton, when she appears to have been targeted by an unknown thief.

The man followed her around the shop and waited until her back was turned before stealing her purse when she was not looking.

The theft happened on Friday, March 13, but Bolton police have now put out an appeal for information along with the image of a man they want to speak to.

"A male followed the woman around the store, before reaching into her handbag and stealing her purse whilst her back was turned.

"It was only when the woman went to pay for her shopping that she realised her purse had been stolen."
