A man who fell from scaffolding in today's Storm Arwen winds was taken to hospital by air ambulance.
Details surrounding the incident are scarce.
But police have confirmed that emergency services were called to Darley Avenue in Chorlton at just before 11.20am on Saturday.
It followed reports a man had fallen from scaffolding.
The air ambulance landed on the playing fields of nearby Barlow Hall Primary School and Greater Manchester Police confirmed the man was subsequently airlifted to hospital.
Police said the man's condition was unknown as yet.
No age for him has been released either.
It's not known exactly where the incident happened or the circumstances surrounding the fall.
It's also not known how far he fell.
The Manchester Evening News has contacted North West Ambulance Service for comment.
In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: "Officers were called just before 11.20am today to Darley Avenue, Chorlton, to reports a man had fallen from scaffolding.
"The emergency services treated the man at the scene and he was taken to hospital by air ambulance.
"The man's condition is unknown."
No further details have been released.
Police were filmed stationed within the grounds of the school as the air ambulance landed.
