Man flown to hospital after falling off roof

Paramedics are sweating through their heavy over shirts, paramedics unions say.

A MAN has been flown to hospital in Newcastle after reportedly falling off a roof in the Upper Hunter last night.

The Westpac rescue helicopter was sent to Scone about 7.10pm after paramedics were called to reports that a 59-year-old man had sustained a serious leg fracture after falling from a roof.

Paramedics treated the man on scene before taking him to Scott Memorial Hospital to meet the chopper.

A Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service spokesman said that the man was flown to the John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition under the care of the critical care medical team.

It comes a day after a man believed to be aged in his 70s was flown to hospital after he was crushed by a bull at Krambach.
