A town centre street was disturbed by a chaotic scene this morning.
Residents of Knowsley Road., St Helens reported being woken up by sirens and shouting at around 5.30am on Wednesday, November 17.
People in the area reported a man on a roof, and emergency services attempting to get them down, they said: "We could hear police shouting at someone to get down"

People living as far as Dentons Green reported being woken up by the commotion.
Footage shared from Knowsley Road shows a helicopter at the scene, as well as a fire engine, several police cars and ambulances.
A resident explained to the ECHO that while the area often sees a police presence, the street was left very surprised by the scenes which took place.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We can confirm that a man has been arrested following an incident in St Helens this morning, Wednesday 17 November.
"At around 5.15am, officers were called to Knowsley Road to reports of a suspected burglary.
"A man was pursued on foot and seen to climb onto a nearby roof. With support of the National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter and MFRS, he came down at around 7am.
"A 33-year-old man from St Helens has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and taken into custody for questioning.
"The road has been reopened and we thank residents for their patience and understanding while the incident was resolved."
