Man flashed on bus in front of horrified passengers

A man flashed on a bus in St Helens in view of passengers.

Officers were alerted to the report of indecent exposure on Wednesday, May 18, at around 9.50am. The incident happened while the bus travelled through St Helens town centre.

Merseyside police have now issued an image of a man who they believe will have information to help their investigation. Anyone who recognises the man pictured is being asked to contact police.

Inspector Laura Leach said: "Incidents such as these can cause real distress to any victim and are completely inappropriate. Everyone should be able to use public transport and feel safe.

"Our informant was left shocked and understandably upset by this horrific incident and did the right thing in contacting us. While some months have passed since the incident, any information you hold could be vital to our enquiries.

"If you recognise the man pictured then please let us know, as we believe he may hold information vital to our ongoing investigation. If you were on 21 the bus at around 9.50am on Wednesday 18 May or recognise the man then do let us know as any information you hold could support our enquiries."
