Man fined for 'howling like a wolf' and annoying neighbours

A man who howled like a wolf, played loud music at anti-social times and slammed doors, has been fined nearly £200 for annoying his neighbours.

Andrew Skalka, 52, has been called "the neighbour from howl" after he harassed his neighbours with wolf noises, loud music and verbal abuse.

Skalka, of Swindon, Wiltshire, pleaded guilty to harassment at Swindon Magistrates Court.

The 52-year-old “howled like a wolf”, played loud music at all times of the day and night, continually slammed doors and made “banging noises”.

He had been repeatedly abusive, threatening and rude to a female neighbour and her family, prosecutors alleged.

Skalka's noisy spree, and harassment of his neighbours, was said to have taken place between June 4 and November 17, 2019.

The Swindon man pleaded guilty to harassment and was fined £80, and ordered to pay £115.
