Man films himself licking ATM to prove 'coronavirus isn't real'

A man has filmed himself licking an ATM to prove " coronavirus isn't real" - sparking a police probe .

The Sheffield man posted the footage online of him licking all of the keys on the machine as South Yorkshire Police launched an investigation into the bizarre incident.

Two cash machines in the city were targeted by the man, who said he had licked every single key on both, Yorkshire Live reports.

In bid to prove "we are all being lied to" he filmed himself as proof and can also be heard saying "coronavirus my arse" in the video.

In a post on Facebook he said: "I've been going out everyday since lockdown, I licked two cash machines each and every button.

"If you people don't believe I will have to prove to you are all being lied to by a thieving government."

South Yorkshire Police say that this has been reported to them and they are investigating.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We can confirm that the content of the video has been reported to police and enquiries are ongoing."
