Man filmed kicking seagull to death in 'horrific' attack

A man kicked a seagull to death in a "horrific" attack.

CCTV footage shows the man approach the bird in a car park in Tonypandy before kicking it several times.

The RSPCA said the gull died following the attack that happened at around 3.40pm on May 1 next to Tonypandy Library.

RSPCA inspector Simon Evans said: “This attack is just horrific.

The RSPCA are appealing for information (RSPCA)

"The CCTV footage shows this man deliberately kicking this gull, with the bird already appearing to be incapacitated and completely defenceless.

“There is absolutely no justification for this level of cruelty towards the bird - which is protected, as all British birds are, by the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981."

The animal charity are now appealing for information to find the man. They said he was wearing jeans and a red zip-up top, trainers and has dark hair and facial hair.

The gull's body was recovered following the attack and RSPCA enquiries are ongoing.

Inspector Evans asked that anyone who saw the "shocking" incident should get in touch on 0300 123 8018
