Man filmed driving into police officers at petrol station

CCTV has captured the moment a man deliberately drove into three police officers as he sped through a petrol station car park.

Two of the officers suffered serious injuries in the attack outside the QuickTrip store in Phoenix, Arizona.

A third policeman managed to get out of the way in time as the vehicle came hurtling towards them.

Driver Marc LaQuon Payne, 44, proceeded to scuffle with police after he drove into the patrol car and crashed into the front of the shop.

Footage shows one of the officers flying through the air after Payne goes ploughing into them.

Police have described the attack as a "violent and cowardly act".

“We are confident that this is an intentional act,” said Phoenix Police Chief Joseph Yahner. “Our officers were targeted.

“I’m outraged by this incident. This stuff needs to stop.”

Payne was escorted to hospital in a serious condition and is now expected to be taken to jail when he is released.
