Man fighting for life in hospital after incident at luxury Scots resort

A man is currently fighting for his life in hospital after an incident at a luxury resort in Argyll and Bute.

Emergency crews were called to Portavadie near Loch Fyne after receiving reports of a man falling unwell at 1.30pm on Thursday, June 29. He was raced Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow via an ambulance helicopter.

Medical staff describe his condition as critical. Police investigating the incident say inquiries remain ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.30 pm on Thursday, 29 June 2023, police were called to a resort in Portavadie after a report that a man had taken unwell within. He was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where remains for treatment.

"Medical staff describe his condition as critical. Enquiries are ongoing."
