Man fighting for life in hospital after he fell backwards from an off-road bike

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after he fell backwards from an off-road bike in Trafford.

The 23-year-old man was riding alongside his friends, who were also on off-road bikes, on Common Lane, in Carrington.

He then suffered serious injuries after he fell backwards from a red and black Honda off-road bike.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7pm on Tuesday, July 28.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

Greater Manchester Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Police Constable Adam Scott, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This is a tragic accident which has sadly left a man in a critical condition.

“We are keen to establish the full circumstances behind this incident, and are appealing for any witnesses who may have been  in the area at the time and saw the off road bikes.

“This incident happened in daylight hours and we are confident that there are witnesses who may have information that can help us to complete our enquiries.”
