Man fighting for life in hospital after being found with serious injuries by police in Miles Platting

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being found with serious injuries by police in Miles Platting.

Officers are now trying to establish how the man, in his 50s, came by his injuries.

Police were called a house on Kingsland Close just after noon on Friday following reports of a concern for welfare.

The air ambulance was also called to the scene, landing on a green on nearby Farnborough Road.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

A GMP spokesperson said: "Police were called at around 12.10pm today (Friday 25 September) to reports of concern for the welfare of a man in his 50s at an address on Kingsland Close in the Miles Platting area of Manchester.

"The man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries that are believed to be life-threatening.

"Officers are at the scene to ascertain how the man’s injuries came to be.

"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
