Man fighting for life after suffering 'medical episode' in road

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after suffering a 'medical episode' in Radcliffe.

Emergency services were called to Ainsworth Road shortly before 9.35am this morning (Monday, November 2) following a report of concern for the welfare of a man.

Police believe the man had suffered from a medical episode.

Officers sealed off part of the main road while they dealt with the incident.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a police presence near to Black Lane Post Office.

The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing, say GMP.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 750 of 02/11/20. Alternatively details can be passed on anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
