A man is fighting for his life after being attacked in a pub beer garden.
The 53-year-old was seriously hurt after an 'altercation' in the The Springfield pub in Chorley, Lancashire.
He is in a critical condition in hospital following the incident on Monday night.

Lancashire Police said a 52-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
He has been released on bail while an investigation continues.
In a statement, the force said: "We are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted.
"The incident happened at about 7pm on Monday (December 27th) in the beer garden of The Springfield pub on Spendmore Lane in Coppull.
"The victim, a 53-year-old local man, was involved in an altercation during which he appeared to suffer a serious head injury.
"He was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
"A 52-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and bailed until January 25th while police enquiries continue."
Detective Chief Inspector Mike Gladwin said: "This incident has resulted in a man suffering some extremely serious injuries and while we have made an arrest our enquiries are very much ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened or who has any information which could assist to come forward and contact police."
