A man is fighting for life after being attacked near a nightclub in Bexleyheath in the early hours of the morning.
Police scrambled to the Broadway at around 1.30am on Sunday after receiving reports a man had been assaulted.
Officers and paramedics arrived and found the 28-year-old man with a serious head injury.
He was rushed to a south London hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. His family have been informed.
A 26-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of GBH.
He remains in custody in a south London police station.
