A man is fighting for his life in hospital following a disturbance outside a property in Salford.
The man, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Officers were called to reports of a disturbance involving several men on Manchester Road, in Clifton.
They were called to the scene shortly before 3am this morning.
Three men have been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.
The trio remain in custody for questioning.
A statement released by Greater Manchester Police said: "Shortly before 3am on Friday, June 28, 2019 officers responded to reports of a disturbance involving several men outside a property in Manchester Road at Clifton.
"A man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with what were described as life-threatening injuries.
"Three men have been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault. They remain in custody for questioning."
