Man fighting for his life after vicious beer garden attack

A man assaulted in a pub beer garden earlier this month is now fighting for his life.

Emergency services were called to the Windsor pub, off Walton Vale, Orrell Park, at around 8.20pm on Saturday, August 8.

A 47-year-old man was rushed to hospital by paramedics to be treated for head injuries, which were initially assessed as non life-threatening.

But police said his condition had worsened and he is now "critical."

A 49-year-old man from Walton was interviewed on suspicion of wounding and remains under investigation.
