Man fighting for his life after falling from building

A man in his 40s was in a critical condition in hospital today after he fell from a building on the edge of the city centre.

The emergency services were called out to Falkner Square, off Grove Street, at around 9.30am today ( Saturday) following reports that a man had fallen off a building.

A man in his 40s was taken to hospital. Police have now described his condition as " critical but stable."

Police were at the scene and seen entering a building on Grove Street this morning.

Merseyside Police have now appealed to anyone with information about the incident to get in touch them.

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Hurst said to the ECHO : “We are working to establish the exact circumstances of this incident and I would appeal directly to anyone who was in the area and has information, CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch as soon as possible."
