Man fell between the train and platform at busy Cardiff station

Detectives are appealing for information after a train passenger fell between a train and the platform at a busy Cardiff station.

They are investigating the circumstances which led to the man falling at Radyr station and want witnesses to get in touch.

The incident happened at the station which is busy with commuters at approximately 10.20pm on Thursday, July 25.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said the man stumbled after leaving the train and fell.

He added: "The train was then about to leave the station when it was stopped by a sharp-eyed passenger who saw the victim fall."

The victim suffered a number of bruises as a result of the fall.

Officers are today looking to speak with anyone who was either on board the train, or who was on the platform and saw what happened.
