A man died after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday in West Rogers Park.

A 64-year-old man was backing up in a pickup truck about 12:09 p.m. in the 2700 block of West Jarvis Avenue when he struck the 31-year-old, Chicago police said.

The man was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

He was identified as Michael Guzman of Humboldt Park, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy found he died of multiple injuries from the collision and ruled his death an accident.

CPD’s Major Accidents Unit is investigating.
