A man died Monday after he was struck by a forklift in Bridgeport on the South Side.
A witness told officers the man was hit by a forklift about 3:40 p.m. at a business in the 1200 block of West 37th Street, Chicago police said.
The business was closed when officers went to the hospital for the death investigation, police said.
Roberto Alvarez, 57, was pronounced dead about 4:30 p.m., the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
An autopsy found he died of multiple injuries from the crash and ruled his death an accident, the medical examiner’s office said. He lived in Brighton Park.
