A 28-year-old Naperville man died after being hit by a car Friday in the western suburb.
He was changing a tire in the southbound curbed lane of Naper Boulevard south of Plank Road about 3:30 p.m. when he was hit by a Volkswagen Rabbit, Naperville police said in a statement.
Marckyle Morales was taken to Edward Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police and DuPage County coroner Richard Jorgensen.
Police said the driver of the Volkswagen was a 23-year-old Naperville man.
No citations were issued as of Monday morning, police Sgt. Rick Krakow said in an email.
