A man was fatally shot while driving Monday morning in Lawndale on the Far South Side.
The victim, 46, was driving around 4:20 a.m. in the 13100 block of South Eberhart Avenue when he suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his torso, Chicago police said. He died at the scene.
The man was traveling southbound on Eberhart Avenue prior to the accident, police said. He was found unresponsive after jumping a curb and crashing into a house, causing minor damage.
No one was in custody. Area Two detectives are investigating.
