Man fatally shot in West Pullman

A 48-year-old man was shot to death Friday in West Pullman on the Far South Side.

Officers found him unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the chest about 8:13 p.m. in the back of a home in the 11600 block of South Peoria Street, Chicago police said.

The man was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details about his death.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
