A man was shot to death Friday in West Garfield Park on the West Side.
The man, whose exact age was not known, was shot in the back about 3:55 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Madison Street, Chicago police said. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not commented on the shooting. Further details were not immediately available.
