A man was shot in the head and killed Thursday in Roseland on the Far South Side, according to police

The 37-year-old was outside on a sidewalk about 6:30 p.m. in the 10500 block of South Wabash Avenue when two people approached him, Chicago police said.

One of the pair took out a handgun and fired shots, striking the 37-year-old once in the head, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details about the death.

The duo wore black scarves and fled on foot eastbound, police said. No arrests have been reported.

Area South detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
