A 19-year-old man was shot to death Saturday in west suburban Maywood.
Lashawn Smith, 19, was shot about 2 a.m. in the 800 block of South 14th Avenue, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He was pronounced dead about half an hour later.
An autopsy conducted Sunday found Smith died of a gunshot wound to the lower back. The medical examiner’s office ruled his death a homicide.
Maywood police did not immediately respond to a request for details.
