A man was killed in a shooting Tuesday in Little Village on the Southwest Side.

The 23-year-old was in a vehicle about 2:23 a.m. in the 2600 block of South Keeler Avenue when someone in a gray Ford sedan opened fire, striking him in the neck and shoulder, Chicago police said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:17 a.m. Wednesday, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was identified as Julian Yaber, who lived in the neighborhood, authorities said. Autopsy results released Friday ruled his death a homicide.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
