Man fatally shot in Lawndale

A 24-year-old man was fatally shot Wednesday night in Lawndale on the West Side.

He was inside a vehicle about 6:40 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Christiana Avenue when someone shot him in the head, Chicago police said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. He has not yet been identified.

There is no one in custody.
