A 23-year-old man was fatally shot Friday morning outside a gas station in Humboldt Park on the West Side.
He was standing in the parking lot of a gas station about 1:25 a.m. in the 3700 block of West Chicago Avenue when someone in a black sedan fired shots, Chicago police said.
He suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details on the death.
No one is in custody as Area Four detectives investigate.
