A 22-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday night in Gary, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Dejuan Key, 22, was shot in the head about 9:10 p.m. in the 1700 block of Ellsworth Street in Gary, Indiana, the medical examiner’s office said.

He was brought to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he pronounced dead Monday about 1:15 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy released Tuesday ruled his death a homicide.
