Man fatally shot in Gary

A 28-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday in Gary, Ind.

About 3 a.m. Kevin Blackmon was in the 700 block of Broadway when he was shot, according to the Lake County coroner’s office. His death was ruled a homicide.

Gary police were not available for comment Monday morning.
