Man fatally shot in Garfield Park

A 35-year-old man was shot dead Tuesday in Garfield Park.

He was standing outside about 9:25 p.m. in the 4300 block of West Van Buren Street when a male shot him in the abdomen, Chicago police said.

The man was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details about his death.

No one is in custody as Area Four detectives investigate.
