Man fatally shot in Evergreen Park

A 25-year-old man was fatally gunned down Sunday in south suburban Evergreen Park.

Aladin Jamaleddin was shot at 7:19 p.m. in the 9100 block of South St. Louis Avenue, according to Evergreen Park police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Jamaleddin was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 7:52 p.m., authorities said.

An autopsy released Monday found he died of a gunshot wound to the head, the medical examiner’s office said. He lived in Evergreen Park.

Police said no arrests have been made. The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is conducting a homicide investigation with Evergreen Park police.
