A person was fatally shot Wednesday morning in Englewood on the South Side.
Officers responded to a report of gunfire about 1:15 a.m. and found a male with gunshot wounds to his head and face in the 7200 block of South Paulina Street, Chicago police said in a statement.
The unresponsive male was rushed to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
