Man fatally shot in East Garfield Park: police

A man was killed in a shooting Friday in East Garfield Park on the West Side, police said.

He was outside a store about 3:40 p.m. in the 2900 block of West Fulton Street when a vehicle approached and someone inside opened fire, Chicago police said.

The 25-year-old was struck multiple times and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details on the fatality.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
