Man fatally shot in Buena Park: police

A man was fatally shot Thursday in Buena Park on the North Side.

About 2:10 p.m., the man, believed to be in his 20s, was walking in the 900 block of West Belle Plaine Avenue when two people approached him and opened fire, Chicago police said.

He was rushed to Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not yet identified the man.

Area Three detectives are investigating.
