A man was fatally shot Thursday night while sitting in a car in Brighton Park on the Southwest Side.
The man, 22, was shot 9:20 p.m. in the 2600 block of West Pershing Road by someone in a light-colored Toyota Camry, Chicago police said.
He was hit in the head and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he died, police said. He was identified as Rudy Cruz by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
There was no one in custody.
