A 33-year-old man was fatally shot after getting into a fight Saturday at a business in Roseland on the South Side.
Eddy N. Vaughns was shot in front of a residence about 4:50 p.m. in the 10900 block of South Vernon Avenue, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He had gotten into a “physical altercation” with an unknown person earlier at a nearby business.
He was struck in the chest and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he later died, authorities said. Vaughns lived in Roseland.
An autopsy Sunday said Vaughns died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled a homicide.
Area South detectives are investigating.
