Man fatally hit by vehicle in Forest Park

A Wisconsin man died after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday in west suburban Forest Park.

Jerome Erdman, 53, was struck by the vehicle about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of South Harlem Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Erdman succumbed to his injuries about 7:45 p.m. the next day, the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy ruled his death an accident, saying that he died of multiple injuries related to the collision.

Forest Park police did not immediately respond to a request for details.
