Man falls to death 'from 19th floor' of London tower block in early hours

A man died after reportedly falling from the 19th floor of a tower block in south London in the early hours of Sunday morning.

London Ambulance Service reported the incident at Ebenezer House, Kennington Lane, to the Metropolitan Police at 4.13am on Sunday and the patient was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is not being treated as suspicious with the cordon has since been lifted.

According to the Daily Mail, witnesses reported hearing a "loud bang" outside the housing complex around the time of the incident, with one claiming the man fell from the 19th floor.

A statement from Southwark MPS, posted to Twitter on Sunday evening said: "A cordon was in place outside Ebenezer House, Kennington Lane #SE11 earlier today after a man fell from height.

"Police were called at 04.13hrs by LAS & the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Video footage from the scene shows police tape blowing in heavy wind.

Forensic officers are seen moving around next to a police patrol car, parked alongside the entrance to an underground car park.
