Man falls onto train tracks after being punched in face by teen at Coatbridge station

A man suffered a serious head injury after falling onto the tracks at Coatbride Sunnyside station.

The victim was punched in the face which caused him to lose his balance and fall at around 2.35pm on Thursday, April 11.

The two had been arguing beforehand.

The suspect is described as white, 16-years-old, of slim build and short dark hair. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, grey jogging bottoms and black trainers.

British Transport Police fficers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident. They would also like to speak to the two women who were with the suspect at the time of the incident.

Witnesses can contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference 339 of 11/04/19.
