)A 30-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a three-month-old baby girl in Perth's northern suburbs.
The baby was taken to hospital with brain injuries on Friday, March 12, after an alleged incident at a home in Girrawheen.
WA Police said the baby died two days later.
Zach Meier was arrested and initially faced court on Sunday, March 14, charged with causing grievous bodily harm.
Today, in the Perth Magistrate's Court, that charge was upgraded to murder.
The relationship between Mr Meier and the baby was not specified in court.
It is understood he was not her father.
Mr Meier was remanded in custody and is next due to appear in court on April 28.
