A man has been charged after weapons and drugs were seized during a search at Lake Macquarie at the weekend.
Detectives attended a property on Cessnock Parade, Sunshine, about 3.40pm on Saturday and arrested a 45-year-old man in relation to an outstanding warrant, after a short struggle.
During a subsequent search warrant executed at the property, officers allegedly found and seized tasers, a set of knuckle dusters, drugs and a motorcycle.
The man was taken to Toronto Police Station and charged with resisting police in the execution of duty as well as three counts of possessing a prohibited weapon without a permit and two counts of possessing a prohibited drug.
He was also charged with driving a motor vehicle during a disqualification period and negligent driving for an unrelated traffic matter, which allegedly occurred on July 13.
Inquiries are continuing.
