A man accused of firing shots at police after an alleged carjacking attempt won't face court again until February.
Brendan Searle, 34, is facing a dozen charges over an incident at the Boronia Hotel in Melbourne's outer east on Saturday night.
He faced Melbourne Magistrates Court briefly on Wednesday afternoon.
Among the charges are allegations he assaulted police, placed people including police in danger of death, attempted a carjacking, threatened to cause serious injuries and unlawfully assaulted a person.
He's also accused of committing offences while on bail and breaching a previous bail curfew.
His lawyer Natasha Wolan said Searle was withdrawing from methamphetamine and had been diagnosed with acute anxiety.
He made no application for bail and is due back in court in February.
